Sensex down 700 pts from day's high, Nifty below 24,550: Weak global cues, other reasons behind sharp market fall

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading at day's lows on September 2 with the former falling over 700 points from day's high while Nifty went below the 24,550-mark. At 2:26 pm, the Sensex was down 299.09 points or 0.37% at 80,065.40
